Edible Boston: 18 Years On

When my wife and I moved to Boston from New York City, she knew I’d want to figure out where all the good stuff was so she got me an issue of a new food magazine called Edible Boston. She’d seen Edible Manhattan and looked up Boston on a whim. The publisher, Ilene Bezahler, sent along the current issue - No. 3. I took note of some interesting leads and then looked up Ilene’s contact info in the masthead. We had lunch a few days later and she asked me if I wanted to shoot for the magazine - just like that. And in the blink of an eye it’s been 18 years. Looking back over all those years and all those issues it seems like several lifetimes. I’m proud of the work we’ve done, the farms and restaurants and producers we’ve covered and the stands we’ve taken. Issue No. 78 is at a great market near you so check it out.
